Currency: Chicago uses the US Dollar (USD).
Tip: Avoid exchanging money at the airport - downtown providers like Currency Exchange International (CXI) or World’s Money Exchange offer better rates.

Time Zone: Chicago is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT).

In an Emergency: Dial 911 for police, fire, or medical emergencies. For non-urgent issues, call 311 for city services.

Power Sockets: Chicago uses Type A and B plugs (two flat pins, sometimes with a round grounding pin).
Voltage is 120V / 60Hz - you’ll need a plug adapter and possibly a voltage converter if your devices aren’t dual-voltage.

Please note: We won’t be providing transport to Soldier Field, so here are some easy ways to get around:

CTA Bus #130 or #146: Direct service to Soldier Field from central locations. Runs regularly on game day.
CTA Train: Take the Red or Green Line to Roosevelt Station, then walk ~15 minutes to the stadium.
Taxi or Rideshare: Quick and easy—about 5–10 minutes from most downtown hotels.
Walking: A scenic 30-minute walk through Grant Park.

Most international travellers will arrive at O’Hare International Airport (ORD), about 30km from downtown. Here are your best options:

CTA Blue Line Train: Direct from the airport to downtown in 45 minutes. Trains run 24/7.
Taxi or Rideshare: ~25 minutes depending on traffic.
Shuttle or Town Car: Available for pre-booking.
Driving: If you’re hiring a car, it’s a 30-minute drive into the city.
